
Beef travel to Sioux City for Week Two Rumble

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football (UIF) will try to notch its first win of the season as they travel to Sioux City on Saturday to take on the Bandits (0-1). The game will be broadcast on 1620 AM "The Zone" with pre-game starting at 6:35 PM and kickoff at 7:05.
The Beef (0-1) are looking to bounce back after a 29-51 Week 1 loss to the Sioux Falls Storm. RJ Rollins was a bright spot for the Beef as he carried the ball 14 times for 49 yards and tallied 2 TD's. He also caught 3 passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Randy Stella shined on defense with 6.5 tackles in Week 1.
In the lowest scoring game of Week 1, Sioux City lost on a last second touchdown pass by Ft. Wayne, falling 23-28.Deandre Philips was a big part of Sioux City's offense by rushing the ball 15 times for 47 yards and 1 TD. He also caught the ball 4 times for 30 yards.
Beef Head Coach Robert Fuller says the Beef showed a lot of positives in Week 1 and are ready to get a victory over Sioux City. "Despite the outcome of the game we saw a lot of positive things from our team and I think they are very excited for the opportunity to redeem themselves " says Fuller. "Sioux City is well coached and they play a physical style of football. This should be an exciting game between two long time division rivals."
The Beef return home on April 9, as they will battle the Evansville BlueCats at 3:30pm. Tickets still remain and can be obtained by calling Jenny Cheney at the Omaha Beef Football office at 402-346-2333. Season ticket packages are still available as well.
