Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association (UIF) will continue an incredible run of hosting playoffs games this Saturday as the Evansville BlueCats visit the Omaha Civic Auditorium to take on the Beef. Omaha has qualified for their league playoffs seven consecutive years and has hosted a playoff game in each of those seven seasons. The quality of football being played in Omaha has never been better as the Beef finished the season with the fourth best record in the league and are mentioned as favorites to make a run to United Bowl II. Saturday's game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:05 PM.

Omaha won four out of their last five games and finished the season with an 8-7 record. Beef running back RJ Rollins won the league rushing title as he amassed 815 yards on the ground this season. Rollins also led the UIF in touchdowns scored with 26. Beef wide receiver Jason Mitchell did not play when Omaha visited Evansville on June 24. Evansville won that match up 28-17. Mitchell has shown his importance to the Beef offense by compiling 15 receptions and five touchdowns in just four appearances this season.

The Beef defense finished ranked #2 in the league for least points allowed. The Beef only allowed 33.2 points per game this season. Omaha only allowed 189 yards to opposing offenses this season, which ranked third in the league. The leader of the defense all season has been linebacker Chris Eads. Eads finished the season sixth in the UIF in tackles with 83.5 and defensive lineman Leif Murphy finished fourth in the league in sacks with 8.5.

The Evansville defense continues to be on an impressive run as the BlueCats enter the Playoffs. Evansville held Sioux Falls to only 33 points last week, which represented the third lowest point output for the Storm this season. Evansville finished the season rated #5 in points allowed as they gave up an average of 39.9 points per game. Aaron Leak had one of his best passing performances of the season last week as he threw for 187 yards and one touchdown.

Beef Head Coach Robert Fuller says, "I was very impressed with Evansville against Sioux Falls and they are certainly one of the top teams in the league right now. Coach Hart has done an amazing job with his late season recruiting and they have the talent to win it all. This is going to be a great match up showcasing two outstanding defenses and two talented offenses capable of putting up some points. "
