Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association is pleased to announce the signing of offensive lineman Greg Klipsch and Joe Glab. Klipsch and Glab add immediate depth and experience to the Beef offensive line and will battle for starting jobs at all three offensive line positions. The 6'2 295 Klipsch comes to the Beef from Truman State University where he was an All-MIAA selection at center. Glab comes to the Omaha Beef from NCAA Division II powerhouse Northwest Missouri State. The 6'3 310 Glab was part of the Bearcat squad that won back-to-back NCAA Division II National Championships and looks to bring that championship attitude to the Beef. Glab was a two-time All-MIAA selection at guard.
"Greg and Joe are great additions to our team and will look to make an immediate impact on the offensive line," stated Head Coach Robert Fuller. "Both of these guys can play any position up front and really bring a lot to the table in terms of athleticism, technique, and toughness. It is going to be very competitive in the trenches for us this year."
The Beef wrapped up their last "invite only" tryout this past weekend and look to finalize their pre-season camp roster in the coming days. "We were very happy with the group that we had in this weekend and will pick up the last pieces to our puzzle from athletes that worked out for us," said Coach Fuller.
The Omaha Beef will hold their first practice of the 2006 season on March 10th at the Omaha Sports Complex. The Omaha Sports Complex is the official practice facility of the Omaha Beef and is located on 147th and Giles. The Omaha Beef will host their season opener against the defending UIF Champion Sioux Falls Storm on March 24. Please call the Beef office at 346-2333 for ticket information.
