Beef Sign Defensive Lineman and Wide Receiver

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association is pleased to announce the signing of Texas Christian University defensive lineman Terence James and Wide Receiver Jason Mitchell.

James, a 6'2 290 defensive lineman was a two-year starter for TCU Head Coach Gary Patterson and will look to make an immediate impact for the Omaha Beef. James will team up with newly acquired defensive lineman Tim Allen from Kansas and current Beef stand outs Leif Murphy and Richard Johnson to give the Beef a formidable rotation up front.

Mitchell, a 6'1 190 wide receiver returns to the Omaha Beef from the Rapid City Red Dogs. Jason joined the Beef mid way through last season and finished with 25 receptions for 291 yards and 9 TD's. Mitchell also had 8 rushes for 60 yards and 1 TD. Jason is regarded as one of the leagues best and will be in his 5th season of professional indoor football after a stand out collegiate career at Dana College. This will also mark his 3rd season playing for Head Coach Robert Fuller.

"Terence and Jason should make an immediate impact for us," stated Head Coach Robert Fuller. "Terence is very big and very physical and will make his presence known immediately. Jason knows our offense inside and out and he is great at altering his routes based on the coverage's he sees. His experience and knowledge of the game will really help our younger players."

The Beef return home tomorrow night Friday, June 2 when the Sioux Falls Storm enters "The Slaughterhouse". Kickoff is scheduled for 7:35 PM. Tickets are available for all remaining Beef home games by calling 402-346-2333.
