Evansville BlueCats News Release
EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats are pleased to announce that all Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Department personnel in uniform will be admitted free at Saturday's game against the Bloomington Extreme. The game will be held at Roberts Stadium on Saturday, June 3rd at 7:05pm. This game is sponsored by Acclaim Graphics.
To claim your free ticket, all Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Department personnel in uniform should go to the Ticketmaster box office at Roberts Stadium on the day of the game and pick up a complimentary ticket.
The BlueCats (3-6) are looking to improve their record and overall standing in the UIF's East Division after losing a 47-45 nail-bitter to the Ohio Valley Greyhounds in last week's action. Despite the loss, two Evansville players, Ton-Ton Luzayadio and Demoine Adams, were recognized by the league for their efforts. Luzayadio earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors and made his way into the UIF record books by going a perfect six for six on field goal attempts and making all three extra point attempts in last week's game against the Greyhounds. Adams was named Defensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention after making four solo tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks last week. This contest will mark the second meeting this season between BlueCats and Extreme. The Bloomington Extreme (4-5) are coming off a 42-16 loss to the UIF East Division leaders, the Lexington Horsemen. In their first meeting, the visiting BlueCats weren't able to hold off Bloomington in the closing minutes of the game and gave up a late touchdown allowing the Extreme to claim a 54-47 victory over the BlueCats. Expect another exciting match up as the Bloomington Extreme come to Roberts Stadium this Saturday at 7:05p.m. to do battle once again with the Evansville BlueCats.
The BlueCats would also like to remind fans that this Thursday, and every Thursday night during the season, the team will be having an open practice session from 7-8pm at Metro Sports Center. Admission is free, coaches and players are available for autographs and interviews immediately following practice.
