Beef Ready to Battle Storm

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football (UIF) kicks-off it's 2006 season tonight as the Beef take on the defending UIF Champion Sioux Falls Storm. Kick-off is slated for 7:35pm at the Omaha Civic Arena.

The Beef are looking for revenge after the Storm knocked them out of the playoffs last season. Omaha was 9-6 last season before their first round home loss to the Storm. The Beef had a great off-season by adding Clint Brown, who had a tremendous rookie season with the Evansville BlueCats. The Beef are also fortunate enough to land former Nebraska Cornhusker stand-out linebacker, Randy Stella. Top returning players for Omaha include wide receiver Mike Nizzi, defensive back Henry Whitehead, and defensive lineman Leif Murphy.

Beef Head Coach Robert Fuller says tonight's opponent is a formidable one, but his squad is ready. "Sioux Falls is a great team and their sights are set on defending their title. We are a young team with great potential and our sights are set on Sioux Falls, " says Fuller.

Tonight ‘s game can be heard on AM 1620 "The Zone" with the pregame show starting at 7:05pm. Tonight's game will also be televised on Cox Digital Cable. Tune it to channel 802 at 7:00pm for all of the hard-hitting action. The game will be re-broadcast at on Sunday, March 26 at 7:00pm on Cox cable channel 2.
