Beef Look to Defeat Unbeaten Storm

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football (UIF) will try to give the Sioux Falls Storm their first loss of the season on Saturday in Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls defeated the Beef, 51-29, in Week 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM and can be heard on 1620 AM "The Zone" with pre-game action starting at 6:45 PM.

The Omaha Beef enter the game with a 3-3 record after having their bye last week. The Beef's record stands at fourth best in the UIF. Omaha went into the bye after defeating Rock River 41-30 in Rockford. Beef running back RJ Rollins is leading the UIF in touchdowns with 14 and is second in the league in rushing yards per game with 51.3. Rollins also leads the team in receptions with 20. The Beef offense is averaging 38.5 points per game, which is 5th best in the UIF.

On the defensive side of the ball, Chris Eads, who has won two UIF Defensive Player of the Week honors this season, is third in the UIF in tackles with 46.0. Defensive back Clint Brown is second in the UIF in interceptions with 5. The Beef defense is allowing 37.8 points per game, which ranks 4th in the league.

The Storm (7-0) are second in the UIF in points scored per game (44.1) and second in the league in points allowed per game (25.8). Quarterback Terrance Bryant is fourth in passing yards with 157.4 yards per game. He has thrown 20 touchdowns on the season, which ties him for third in that category. Defensively, Mark Blackburn is fourth in the UIF in tackles with 44. Blackburn also has one interception this season.

"Sioux Falls is one of the best teams I've seen in indoor football and it is easy to see why they are 7-0," states Beef Head Coach Robert Fuller. "We are excited for the opportunity to play the best in one of the toughest road venues there is."

The Beef return home on May 20th, as they will battle the Bloomington Extreme, the UIF's newest expansion team. It's "Military Night" and anyone with a valid Military ID gets 2 for 1 tickets in Touchdown Alley.
