
Beef Announce Non-Profit Partnership

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association is pleased to announce that the Beef and the Omaha Food Bank will be holding a food drive as part of Sunday's game at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
Sunday's game is "Faith and Family" Day where Beef fans can receive $3 off their admission by bringing a non-perishable food item to the Beef Office or The Civic Auditorium Box Office. The Beef office is located at 1907 Harney Street and will be accepting donations until Friday. The Civic Auditorium will be taking donations until kickoff. Kickoff is at 3:35 PM on Sunday, as the Beef will battle the Evansville BlueCats.
According to the Omaha Food Bank's Website, for every dollar contributed The Food Bank is able to distribute $18 worth of food for the needy in Nebraska and western Iowa. The website also points out that there are currently, 46,500 people living below the poverty line in Douglas County. Shockingly, 40% of those below the poverty line are children.
"The Beef organization is grateful for the opportunity to partner up with the Omaha Food Bank to make a difference in our community," stated Head Coach Robert Fuller. "We hope that all of our great fans and sponsors can rally together to make a difference in the lives of many."
The Beef are excited to return home after beating division rival Sioux City 38-35 at Sioux City. The Evansville BlueCats (1-1) come to Omaha looking for their second consecutive road win after beating the Ohio Valley Greyhounds 36-34. Individual game tickets still remain for all Beef home games and can be obtained by calling Jenny Cheney at the Omaha Beef Football office at 402-346-2333.
