
Beechey, Neilson and Ford Compete In All Star Skills

Pensacola, FL - Pensacola Ice Pilots All-Stars defenseman Corey Neilson, goalie Todd Ford and center Tyler Beechey competed in the 2005 Coors Light All-Stars Skills Competition last night in front of 6,000 fans at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Tyler Beechey finished second in the Puck Control Relay Individual as Beechey finished first in the American Conference and was defeated by San Diego's Andrew Canzanello of the National Conference in the final round.
Corey Neilson finished seventh in the hardest shot competition with a shot of 88.6 mph. Toledo's Dan Eberly won the event with a shot of 97.0 mph.
Todd Ford made 4 of 6 saves in the breakaway relay competition. Chris Madden of Long Beach, Mike Minard ! of Columbia and Barry Brust of Reading all made 5 of 6 saves in the competition.
WFGX TV will televise live the 2005 ECHL All Star game tonight from Reading, Pennsylvania beginning at 6:00 p.m. central time. Fans will be able to watch the game on channel 20 with Cox Cable in Pensacola and channel 12 on Cox Cable in Niceville, Ft. Walton Beach and Crestview. Fans will also be able to watch the game on channel 6 on Mediacom in Gulf Breeze and Milton and channel 22 on mediacom in Baker, Florida. The game will also be on channel 22 with Valparaiso cable.
Defenseman Corey Neilson and center Tyler Beechey are starters for the American Conference. Neilson is the captain for the American Conference. Goalie Todd Ford will represent the Ice Pilots for the American Conference as a reserve. Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish is the head coach for the American Conference and the Ice Pilots John Krouse is the equipment manager for the American Conference.
The Ice Pilots play home g! ames this Friday and Saturday night vs. Augusta at 7:05 p.m. and will also play home this Sunday vs. Pee Dee at 5:05 p.m. It is Mardi Gras Night on Friday Night. The Ice Pilots will be wearing their Mardi Gras jerseys sponsored by Hill Kelly Dodge and the jerseys will be auctioned after the game. A Mardi Gras Parade on Ice will take place during both intermissions.
Saturday night is NASCAR Night. Fans will wear NASCAR apparel to the game on Saturday night will receive $2 off a ticket to the game. #9 Kasey Kahne NASCAR will be on display in front of the Civic Center. The Ice Pilots would like to thank Hill Kelly Dodge for their support in the #9 Kasey Kahne NASCAR. Also Ms. U.S.A. sponsored by WEAR TV 3 will be at the game for the ceremonial puck drop and sign autographs.
Both Friday and Saturday night games are Florida Lottery Second Chance Night. All 100 vouchers for the Florida Lottery Second Chance Night have been used for both Friday and Saturday night.
Sunday's game vs. Pee Dee at 5:05 p.m. is Family Day. A family of four can purcha! se 4 tickets, 4 sodas and 4 hot dogs for $44. The Ice Pilots will sign autographs after the game for Kids Club Members only and than will skate after the game with the public skaters which is open to everyone.
