Portland Beavers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers today activated outfielder Xavier Nady from the disabled list and transferred first baseman Joe Gerber to Class AA Mobile.
Nady, who missed the last 18 games after a right-ankle injury forced him to the DL on April 20, has joined the team in Memphis, where it begins a four-game series tonight.
Nady is batting .381 (16-for-42) with a home run and six RBIs in 12 games with the Beavers this season.
Gerber, a Portland native, batted .308 (12-for-39) with four doubles and five RBIs in 14 games with the Beavers. He began the season at Mobile, but was transferred to Portland for his first Triple-A stint on April 19.
The Beavers have four players remaining on the disabled list.
