Beauchemin Back with Trenton; Ford Goes to Bridgeport

TRENTON, NJ (December 21, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Wednesday that goaltender Rejean Beauchemin has been assigned by the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL) and defenseman Scott Ford has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).

Beauchemin, 20, began 2005-06 with the Phantoms and has registered a record of 2-4-1. In nine appearances for the Titans, the 6-2, 186-pound goalie is 2-5-1 with a 2.88 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Beauchemin was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (191st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Ford, 25, receives his second call-up of the season having been loaned to the Providence Bruins (AHL) on November 19. The rookie defenseman has three assists in 17 games for the Titans and is leads the team with a +6 plus/minus rating.

In separate transactions, defenseman Mike Jarmuth has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve, while blueliner Peter Tormey has been placed on the 7-day IR.

Jarmuth, 23, has notched two assists in seven games for the Titans. Tormey, 25, has 12 penalty minutes in 24 games with Trenton.

The Titans host the Wheeling Nailers tonight at 7:00pm and are back home on Friday, December 30 to face the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:30pm.
