
Beast Raise $1000 in 10 Days for Ardglen Fire Victims

BRAMPTON, ON - On Saturday, June 28th the Brampton Beast Hockey Club was at the Bramalea Lions Club in support of the Ardglen Drive Fundraiser. The Brampton Beast along with different community organizations and local businesses were in attendance for the fundraiser. The team mascot, Boomer, presented a $1000 cheque on behalf of the Brampton Beast organization to Regeneration Outreach Community for the Ardglen Trust Fund. Mayor Susan Fennell was also present for the cheque presentation.
"We firmly believe in being the city's team, whether it's providing great entertainment or supporting different community initiatives," said President and General Manger Cary Kaplan. "After hearing what had happened, we immediately felt it was necessary to help the Ardglen community."
The Brampton Beast Hockey Club launched their "Drive to 500" campaign on Tuesday, June 10th to raise money for the residents affected by the Ardglen townhouse fire in Brampton. The tragic fire left over 100 residents homeless and a 10-year boy lost his life. Some families were left with nothing and are in desperate need of assistance. The Beast surpassed their initial target of $500 and raise $1000 from season seat holder, corporate partners and fan support. The organization appreciates all who participated in the campaign.
