Bears to Host Motorcycle Night July 1st

NEWARK, NJ, June 24, 2003 - The 2002 Atlantic League Champion Newark Bears will host the first Motorcycle Night at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium on Tuesday, July 1st for the 7:05 PM game against the Pennsylvania Road Warriors.
Motorcycle Night is an opportunity for riders from all over New Jersey to join together to enjoy an exciting game of Newark Bears Baseball. Everyone is encouraged to bring their bikes and participate in a pre-game motorcade around the warning track and compete for prizes in a Bike Show. Awards will be given out to the rider who traveled the farthest distance to the game, as well as to the organization with the largest number of members at the event. Entrance into the bike show requires a ticket for that day's game, while entrance into the motorcade requires that you attend with a group of 30 or more.
Each organization in attendance will have their name displayed on the scoreboard during the game. In addition, groups of 50 or more will receive an additional announcement for an upcoming event or charity function of their choice. Groups of 30 or more will receive discounted ticket prices of $8.00 for a Box Seat and $6.00 for a Reserve Seat ticket. Groups of 500 or more will receive a special discounted price of $5.00 each.

The 2003 Newark Bears Season will continue at home on Sunday, June 29th at 1:35 pm against the Pennsylvania Road Warriors. The first 2,000 fans will receive free Shop Rite Bucket Caps and can participate in the Bears' weekly Family Fun Day Activities, including a pre-game autograph session featuring Bill Madlock and all of the Bears' players and kids running the bases after the game.
