Beach Bums Attempting to Set World Record

WUERFEL PARK Get those jaws ready as the Traverse City Beach Bums are giving Northern Michigan a chance to set a World Record right in our very own community. Prior to the team's game on Friday July 31st, the Beach Bums will ask fans to help set a new record for the most bubble gum bubbles blown at the same time.
The Beach Bums take on Lake Erie at 7:05pm that night. In addition to the world record bubble gum blowing attempt, the evening will be capped by a fantastic fireworks show.
Upon entering Wuerfel Park, fans will receive a complimentary piece of bubble game. Then at approximately 6:30pm, fans will be asked to blow their bubbles simultaneously in an effort to set the new record. The current record is 737 set in September 2014 at a nightclub in Spain.
The Beach Bums are 31-18 and are currently second in the East Division.
The Beach Bums return to action at Wuerfel Park this weekend for a series against the Florence Freedom. Friday July 17th is another FANtastic Fireworks show following the 7:05pm game. Saturday July 18th, the 7:05pm will feature a pregame and postgame music performance by Levi Britton as part of the Baseball, Bands and Brews Series presented by Short's Brewery. Sunday July 19th at 5:05pm is Frozen Day featuring a live appearance from the Ice Queen and Ice Princess.

The Beach Bums business offices are open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and game day Saturdays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Group packages, patio tables and suites are still available for all remaining 2015 home games. Please call to inquire about all our excellent ticket packages.
In addition to special promotions, ticket specials and live music, everyone is invited to participate in the new Wuerfel Park Farmers & Flea Market open every Saturday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm through October 10th. Spaces remain for interested vendors with open registration held every Saturday morning starting at 7:00 am.
