
BC Lions Select Receiver Benjamin Plu in CFL European Draft

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club today announced they have selected receiver Benjamin Plu of France in the CFL's inaugural European Draft held earlier today.
Plu (6'3", 190) hails from Le Mans, France and spent the 2018 season with the Thonon-les-Bains Black Panthers tallying 22 receptions for 450 yards and seven touchdowns. The former member of France's U19 team had previously attended McGill University in 2016 and hauled-in five passes for 75 yards and a major that year.
Plu along with WR Alvarez Gerardo, DL Octavio González and WR Fernando Martinez who were selected by the Lions following the LFA-CFL Combine held in January, will all be in attendance when the Leos head to Kamloops for Training Camp in May.
