B.C. Lions News Release
VANCOUVER, B.C â August 4, 2003 â The BC Lions are pleased to announce that a giant corn maze in the shape of the Lions 50th season logo has been crafted in Surrey by the Bose family. Every year the family tries to choose a Canadian theme for their annual labyrinth.
"This year we thought it would be great to recognize the BC Lions who are celebrating their 50th season in the CFL. It's a great accomplishment and it made sense to honour them," says Novy Bose, a family member who maintains the field.
The 15-acre maze, located at 16390-64th Avenue, Surrey, is open from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The entrance cost is $6.50 for adults, $5.00 for teens, $4.00 for children 12 and under and free for children under five. They also offer a family pack, which includes two adults and two children passes for $17.00; additional children and teenager passes cost $2.00 and $3.00 respectively.
The corn maze is divided into two parts, participants can choose how much of the maze they want to complete and in the evenings they can enjoy a campfire and marshmallow roasts. More information about the maze is available at 604-576-8997 or cornfieldmaze.com.
