MOBILE, Ala. - After a 10-inning defeat on Thursday, it was the BayBears' turn to nab a 10-inning victory as they punished the Chattanooga Lookouts with a 7-6 win on Friday at Hank Aaron Stadium.

John Hester came through with a one-out single to left-center, knocking in Gerardo Parra for the game-winning tally in the bottom of the 10th against reliever Sean Watson (1-1). Each team did plenty of scoring early with Danny Dorn's two-run homer in the first putting the Lookouts (49-49, 12-16) on the board while Rusty Ryal nailed a two-run shot of his own in the bottom of the first to knot the score.

More runs were put on the board in the second as Chattanooga grabbed the lead on a two-run triple by Sean Henry, but the BayBears (41-56, 12-15) answered with a Bryan Byrne two-run double and an RBI single by Parra to take a 5-4 lead. The contest stayed in the BayBears' advantage until the eighth when Michael DeJesus slapped a two-out, two-run double to tie the game off Jose Marte.

Hector Ambriz looked sharp in seven innings as he allowed four runs on six hits. Sam LeCure surrendered a season-high 10 hits to start for the Lookouts in his six frames. Jason Urquidez (1-0) pitched a perfect 10th inning to record his first win as a BayBear which is what Cesar Valdez (0-1, 2.35) will try to get on Saturday as he takes the ball at 7:05 p.m. in game four of this five-game set.

On Friday morning, the BayBears teamed with Chevrolet for the second straight day to host a baseball camp for children of all ages throughout the Mobile area. Several BayBears participated including Tony Barnette, Adam Howard, Forrest Cory, Cody Evans, Byrne and hitting coach Turner Ward. In two days, well over 100 kids learned how to play ball from BayBears' players and staff members.
