MOBILE, Ala. - Saturday night's contest between the BayBears and Mississippi Braves at Hank Aaron was postponed because of rain. The ballgame will be made up as part of a doubleheader, consisting of two seven-inning contests at 4:05 on Sunday afternoon at "The Hank".
Left-hander Tom Layne is expected to be the game one starter after southpaw Scott Diamond. Layne, coming off a complete game shutout in his last start, is 5-2 this year with a 3.27 ERA. Diamond has posted a 2-3 mark with a 4.03 ERA.
The BayBears finish their five-game set with the Braves in a doubleheader on Sunday at 4:05.
