Battle Creek, MI- The Knights opener was against the Gary Steelheads last Thursday night. The Knights first-year guard Roberto Fortes, from Illinois State University, led the scoring with 35 points. The Knights then faced the Windy City Soldiers on Saturday. The Knights rebounded for a 121-99 victory. Seven Knights players scored in double-figures, with Fortes again leading Battle Creek with 20 points. Right on his heels was Madison with 18 points. Kei Madison and first-year Knight Jamal Ward each added 16 points in the win.
