Battle Creek Knights Name Three More Players To 2010 Roster

The Battle Creek Knights- a sixth year minor league basketball team- playing in the 2010 International Basketball League season, name players four, five and six.

Charles Ward- is a 6' 7" small forward/shooting guard, who played his college ball at Saint Augustine's College where in his senior year he averaged 19.9 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game (ranked 3rd in nation in offensive rebounding that year) while shooting 68.8% from the field (ranked 2nd in the nation with field goal %)- this was in 2002. After college, Charles went on to various NBA summer camps (Wizards) and rookie camps (Jazz) and also went on to various overseas basketball jobs (Iceland, Dominican Republic) and then back to more NBA camps (Memphis, Atlanta, Cleveland) and more minor league and overseas basketball jobs. Recently, Charles played in 2007/2008 for the Wilmington Sea Dawgs averaging 19.9 points per game, 9 rebounds per game and 3 blocked shots. Charles is considered a great- on the ball- defender able to defend point guards, but big enough to defend post players as well.

Gerald Carter- is a 6' 4 and a 1/2" comb guard who recently played at Southern New Hampshire University (2007- 2009) with averages of 10.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, 3 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game. Currently Carter is playing in the EBA (a minor basketball league in the East) and averaging 28.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Brian Kortovich- is a 6' 2" scoring point. Kortovich was a scoring machine at Cuyahoga Community College averaging nearly 20 points per game over 2 years; Kortovich then played as a scholarship player at Manhattan College (Division 1) and went on to finish his schooling at Urbana with a degree in Business Administration. Kortovich has played professionally in Israel, France, Kuwait and Italy. Kortovich is a New York City pro-am league regular but as well, Kortovich is a Rucker Park star with the nickname 'Smokin Aces'.

The Knights will name players 7 - 9 in the coming days.
