Bats to hold open workout on Wednesday

Louisville Bats News Release


The Louisville Bats will hold an open workout to the media and general public on Wednesday, April 4 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This event is free to the public and concession stands will be open as will the Bats Gift Shop.

Louisville opens their season Thursday, April 5 at 7:05 p.m. at Louisville Slugger Field against the Toledo Mud Hens. Starting pitchers for the opening series are as follows:

Thursday: TOL - RHP Zach Miner (7-6, 4.84 w/TOL in 2006) vs. LOU - LHP Bobby Livingston (8-11, 4.59 w/TAC in 2006) 7:05pm

Friday: TOL - RHP Jordan Tata (10-6, 3.84 w/TOL in 2006) vs. LOU - LHP Phil Dumatrait (5-7, 4.72 w/LOU in 2006) 7:05pm

Saturday: TOL - RHP Virgil Vasquez (7-12, 3.73 w/ERIE in 2006) vs. LOU - RHP Tom Shearn (9-4, 2.52 w/LOU in 2006) 6:15pm

Sunday: TOL - RHP Dennis Tankersley (4-15, 4.35 w/MEM in 2006) vs. LOU - RHP Homer Bailey (7-1, 1.59 w/CHAT in 2006) 6:15pm
