
Bats Prevail over Bisons, 11-1

Buffalo, NY - Reggie Taylor had three hits, including two doubles and Jim Chamblee blasted his fifth home run of the season to guide the Louisville Bats to an 11-1 victory over Buffalo.
Chamblee's home run in the sixth inning came off of relief pitcher Fernando Cabrera, starting the Bats scoring brigade. Chamblee finished the night 2-for-4 including a double, four RBI and two runs scored. Taylor finished the night 3-for-4, with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored.
Brian Shackelford improved to 2-0 on the season. He went 2 1/3rd innings where he allowed one hit and recorded three strike outs.
Fernando Cabrera absorbed the loss to fall to 0-1. He allowed six earned runs on four hits, walked two and struck out one in 2 innings.
Brandon Phillips had the only RBI for the Bisons on a one-out single in the fourth inning.
Louisville (19-21) remains 4 1/2 games behind Indianapolis in the West Division of the International League, while Buffalo (16-24) remains 7 games behind Pawtucket and Rochester in the North.
