
Bats Host Cinco De Mayo, Halloween Night, Mother's Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration (Tuesday, May 5), Halloween Night (Saturday, May 9) and Mother's Day (Sunday, May 10) during their upcoming six-game homestand at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats will face the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (May 4-6) and the Rochester Red Wings (May 8-10) for three games apiece.
The Cinco de Mayo celebration presents fans the opportunity to purchase field reserved tickets for Tuesday's game for just $5. There will also be $3 margaritas and Mexican food specials at the Overlook Grill. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
Jake the Diamond Dog will perform at Friday night's game and fireworks will follow the 7:05 p.m. contest. Saturday will be Halloween Night, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Kids in costume will receive a free field reserved ticket with a paid adult and there will be trick-or-treating on the concourse.
First pitch on Mother's Day is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. The first 1,500 ladies 13-and-over through the gates will receive a pink Bats visor. There will be Mother's Day pampering in the picnic pavilion along the right-field line where moms can receive a free massage or manicure. Kids will be able to design special shirts for their moms at the picnic pavilion and also play catch with their moms on the field following the game. There will also be inflatables for kids in the Hall of Fame Pavilion, the Bats' new Kids Eat Free promotion (hot dog, junior nachos and Pepsi) and kids may run the bases following the game.
The Bats enter Monday 10-14 and in 4th place in the International League West, 4.5 games behind the division-leading Indianapolis Indians. Infielder Irving Falu is currently riding a Bats' season-best 12-game hitting streak. Falu and fellow infielder Ivan De Jesus are both among the International League's top 10 in hitting at .400 and .349, respectively.
The Bats have averaged 8,912 fans per game at Louisville Slugger Field since its opening in 2000 and have totaled over 9.4 million fans through 15 seasons. - Bellarmine Men's Basketball honored on the field pregame. The Knights made it to the Final Four of this year's Division II Men's Basketball Tournament.

- GILDAN Mother's Day Pampering, from 1-4 p.m. in the picnic pavilion along the right-field line. Moms can receive a free massage or manicure and kids can design special T-shirts for their moms.
- Inflatable KidsZone: Inflated from 1-4 p.m. in the West Hall of Fame Pavilion, presented by BracesBracesBraces and Kids Dentistree.
- Kids Eat Free: New for 2015 at every Sunday home game, all kids 12-and-under with paid admission receive a free hot dog, junior nachos and small soda. One meal per child.
- Postgame Kids Run the Base, presented by the YMCA and Meijer.
- Postgame Play Catch with Mom in the outfield.
