In the top of the eighth inning, the IronPigs' rally overcame reliever Kyle McMyne as they were able to score four runs and take a 4-3 lead with the help of four base hits and two walks.

The Bats immediately countered in the bottom of the eighth inning and evened the score at four due to a base hit from Ervin that scored Stuart Turner .

With the score tied at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth, Zach Vincej and Jesse Winker opened the inning with back-to-back singles. With one out, Sebastian Elizalde smacked an infield single, bringing in Vincej for the walk-off win.
