SERIES RECAP: The Barrie Colts hold a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Series against the Brampton Battalion...After getting ahead 2-0 in the series thanks to a 3-1 road victory in game one and a 3-2 overtime decision at home in game two, the Colts were upended by the Battalion by a count of 5-1 in game three played Easter Sunday at the Powerade Centre

GAME 1- March 20 @ BRAMPTON: Goaltender Michael Hutchinson made his first career OHL playoff start a memorable one Thursday as the 18-year old netminder kicked aside 31 Battalion shots to lead the Colts to a 3-1 game one victory....The Colts came out in game one and established the pace early, limiting the Battalion's chances at the offensive end....After a scoreless first, the Battalion scored a powerplay goal 40 seconds into the second, but Stefan Della Rovere (1) got the Colts back with a powerplay marker of his own at the 6:52 mark.....Tomas Marcinko (1) would put the Colts ahead for good as he pushed in a rebound off an Alex Hutchings shot with 5:38 left in the third....Marcinko also added the empty-net insurance goal...Alex Hutchings and Daniel Michalsky also factored in with two assists apiece

GAME 2- March 22 vs. BRAMPTON: The Barrie Colts used overtime heroics Saturday night at the Molson Centre as Daniel Michalsky scored his second of the game at 13:35 of the extra frame to give the Colts a 3-2 game victory and a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series against the Brampton Battalion....Game three is scheduled for Easter Sunday (6:00 p.m.) at the Powerade Centre in Brampton, with game four set to go back to Tuesday at the Molson Centre.....Shawn Frank got the Colts going with his first of the playoffs at 10:13 of the opening period....The Battalion struck back at 16:36 of the second, before Michalsky scored his first of the game just over two minutes later....The Battalion tied the game 2-2 on a Thomas Stajan goal with just 3:16 left in the third....Michael Hutchinson sparkled in goal once again for the Colts, as he made 49 saves on 51 shots to establish the victory....The 18-year old netminder has now turned aside 80 of the 83 shots he has faced in two games of the series.....Stefan Della Rovere, Tomas Marcinko, Alex Hutchings and Ryan Berard each added single assists in the game two victory

GAME 3- March 23 @ BRAMPTON: The Barrie Colts will head back to the Molson Centre for game four Tuesday night with a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semi-final series as the Brampton Battalion took a 5-1 decision on home ice in game three played Sunday evening....The Battalion went ahead 1-0 through one, 2-1 after two, and they extended it with three more in the third including an empty-net goal to get back in the series and avoid a 3-0 deficit going into game four....Marcus Pepe scored Barrie's goal to get them to 2-1 in the last half of the second period, as the assist went to another rookie, Kyle Clifford....Michael Hutchinson faced 49 shots in goal, and was solid as he kicked aside 45....Cody Hodgson led the way offensively for the Battalion with two goals, as John Hughes, Matt Duchene and Bob Sanguinetti also scored....The Colts will attempt to go ahead 3-1 in the series in game four Tuesday evening at the Molson Centre
