Barons Tackle Smokies in Final Homestand of the Season

Hoover, AL - Following their longest road trip of the season the Southern Division first-half champion Birmingham Barons return to the Magic City for their final homestand of the 2011 season with a five-game set against the Northern Division first-half champion Tennessee Smokies, Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The series will begin on Thursday, September 1 at 7:05 p.m. and run through Monday, September 5th at 12:30 p.m.

The final homestand kicks off with a football feel as the Barons host a Fantasy Football Draft Party as a part of the Thirsty Thursday celebrations at Regions Park that include a pre-game concert. Friday night's game will include a post-game Friday Night Fireworks celebration while Saturday's match-up with the Smokies will have a pre-game team autograph session and post-game Super Saturday Night Fireworks. Continuing through the Labor Day weekend, Sunday Kids can eat for free with purchase of a full-priced ticket and end the game with a Fireworks Show for the third-straight night. Monday's regular-season finale will have a special 12:30 p.m. first pitch as the Barons will host Fan Appreciation Day at Regions Park.
