CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Steve Hildenbrand had a goal and assist and Dimitri Patzold finished with 40 saves to lead the Cleveland Barons to 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Saturday at Cincinnati Gardens.

Hildenbrand, a Miami of Ohio product, scored his first career AHL goal 1:27 into the third period to break a 2-2 tie and earned an assist on a power-play goal by Jon DiSavatore at 8:33 of the period to give the Barons a 4-2 lead.

Miroslav Zalesak and Garrett Stafford also scored for Cleveland, which won for just the second time in its last 10 games (2-5-2-1).

Patzold, a fourth-round pick by San Jose in 2001, made 29 saves over the final two periods, including a glove save to deny the Ducks' Keith Aucoin on a shot that came from just outside the crease area with 11 seconds left in the game to preserve the victory for the Barons, who took a 3-2 lead in the Labatt Blue Cup series.

Tony Martensson had two goals for the Ducks, who fell to 1-3-0-0 in their last four games. It was the 11th multiple-point game of the season for Martensson, who moved past Yuri Butsayev into first place on Cincinnati's all-time career scoring list among European-born players with 92 points (29 goals, 63 assists).

Ilya Bryzgalov surrendered four goals on 22 shots to take the loss for the Ducks, who have won just once in their last six games at home (1-4-1-0).

The Ducks host Utah at 5:05 p.m. Sunday to complete a three-game home stand. Eddy Ferhi, Casey Hankinson, Chris Kunitz, Tony Martensson and Igor Pohanka will be available to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs for fans after the game in Legends Museum.
