See the dedication of the Fred Glover Collection, including trophies and memorabilia from Cleveland's greatest hockey player. Meet author Gene Kiczek who will sign copies and discuss his book Forgotten Glory: The Story of the Cleveland Barons.
Former Cleveland Barons hockey greats, including Howie Glover and Wayne Muloin, will be on hand to sign autographs and talk about their careers, as well as representatives of the current Cleveland Barons hockey club, who will have prizes and giveaways. Even SlapShark, the Barons mascot will be in attendance. Rare game action film of the early Cleveland Barons will be shown during the afternoon. The event is Free.
The Western Reserve Historical Society is one of the largest private historical societies in the nation, and is Cleveland's oldest cultural institution. The WRHS Sports Archives is collecting, preserving and presenting artifacts, documents, photographs and audiovisual materials from the region's rich amateur and professional sports history. WRHS educates 100,000 school children each year at its eight historic sites in Northeast Ohio. WRHS is a Smithsonian Affiliate.
