
Syracuse Signs Center Brian Gornick

Syracuse, NY (August 24, 2005) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed center Brian Gornick to an American Hockey League contract.
Gornick, 25, appeared in one game with the Crunch last season, recording two penalty minutes. In 67 games with San Diego last season, Gornick tallied 23 goals, 23 assists and 60 penalty minutes. In 79 career AHL games with Cincinnati and Syracuse, Gornick has tallied 3 goals, 5 assists and 28 penalty minutes. A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Gornick was selected by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the ninth round, 258th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
