Barons Backed by Harpo's Sports Café

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons today announced it will partner with Harpo's Sports Café for the 2003-04 season. Michael T. Lehr, President of the Cleveland Barons, made the announcement.

At every Friday Barons home game, Harpo's Sports Café will host the Goal for the Gold Chicken Wing Shootout. One fan, selected randomly, will take a shot on an empty net to win the entire crowd an order of Chicken Wings at either Harpo's location. Harpo's houses the world-famous Harpo's Gold wing sauce.

Also, the Cleveland Barons will host two Barons Hockey Night's at Harpo's Sports Café during the 2003-04 season. Harpo's Sports Café is home to the NHL Center Ice Package, which carries all NHL contests. Barons players, coaches, and team personnel will be on had for the two events. Dates for the events will be announced at a later date.

Harpo's Sports Café is located at 19654 W. 130th St. in Strongsville. A new location will be opening soon at 5777 Brook Park Rd. in Brook Park.

"Harpo's Sports Café will add an exciting, interactive element to our game presentation with the Goal for the Gold contest," stated Lehr. "Our relationship not only adds excitement to the game, but it also gives our fans another opportunity to socialize with the team outside the arena."

The Barons open up the season at home on October 11th at 7:00pm. Group tickets for the game are now available by calling the Barons ticket staff at 216-420-0000.
