September 15, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Cleveland Barons News Release

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Barons President Michael T. Lehr announced today the hiring of Vinnie Ferraiuolo as the club's Equipment Manager, Kristine Douglas as the Business Manager, and Kristin Toth as the Public Relations Coordinator. The team also announced the promotion of Heather Fraelich to Corporate Marketing Manager.

Ferraiuolo (Ferry-Oh-Low) comes to the Barons from the Texas Wildcatters of the ECHL, where he served as the team's Head Equipment Manager. Prior to Texas, he served as the Assistant Equipment Manager for the New York Islanders (NHL) for two seasons from 2002-2004. The Roanoke, Virginia native also served as the Equipment Manager for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL earning All-Star honors in 2000 as the Equipment Manager for PlanetUSA. Ferraiuolo also spent three seasons with the Providence Bruins as their Equipment Manger, including the Baby Bruins 1998-99 Calder Cup winning season.

Ferraiuolo replaces Rob "Bubba" Kennedy, who became the third Barons equipment manager in four seasons promoted to the NHL by accepting a job with the Florida Panthers.

Douglas will be responsible for accounting, human resources, and merchandise management for the Barons. Before joining the team, she was working as the Director of Business Development for OnlyOne, where she recruited and qualified new Managing Partners, as well as managed the accounts payable duties. The resident of Bay Village earned a Bachelor of Science in Retail/Merchandising Management from The Ohio State University.

Also filling a role left vacant by a jump to the NHL, Toth will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Communications Department, including web site maintenance, media relations, and press release writing, as well as overlap into the team's Community Relations and Ticket Sales Departments. Toth served as an intern with the Barons Community Relations Department during the summer of 2004 and worked for the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks as the Media Relations Representative during the 2004-2005 season. The Brecksville, OH native earned a degree in Speech Communications from Miami (OH) University. Toth replaces Tom Holy who was recently joined the San Jose Sharks communications staff.

Additionally, the Barons promoted Heather Fraelich to the position of Corporate Marketing Manager, in addition to her duties as the Executive Assistant to the President, a position she has held since the Barons inaugural season in 2001. In her additional role she will work alongside the Corporate Sales department to service the accounts and handle all sponsorship fulfillment.

The Barons will open their 2005-06 Regular Season schedule on the National City Rink located in Gund Arena on Saturday, October 8th against the Rochester Americans at 7:05pm. Tickets for all regular season games are on sale now at the Gund Arena Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets and on-line at the Barons official website.
