Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Brad Braone's 33 saves in Pensacola Friday night would not be enough to get the RiverKings a win losing 2-1 to the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

Pensacola scored first off a shot from Myles McCauley from Andrew Schmit and Josh Cousineau that beat Brad Barone for the only goal of the first period.

Late in the second came the game tying goal from the RiverKings as Mike Moran put in a wrap around attempt from Cullen Bradshaw and Joe Sova.

The third period would be even until near the end of the third. Brent Tate redirected a shot from the point past Brad Barone with traffic in front of the net. The RiverKings would have one final try at the end of the game on a six on four man advantage but could not find the equalizer.

Brad Barone takes the loss for the RiverKings on 33 saves with Matt Zenzola earning the win on 22 saves for the Ice Flyers.

The RiverKings will look for revenge tomorrow against the Ice Flyers as the 2 game home and home series makes it way to the Landers Center for a 7:30p.m. puck drop.
