Barnstormers Welcome Back Anderson And McCown

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations John Gregory has announced the team has reached agreement with OL Eric Anderson along with WR Errick McCown for the 2010 season. Both were key contributors for the 2009 Barnstormers squad that went 13-5 and captured a Midwest Division Championship.
Anderson (6-2, 305) has started 30 games for the Barnstormers at Guard the past two seasons. The four-year veteran from Memphis was part of an Offensive Line that went 10 straight games last season without allowing a sack. Anderson started his Arena Football Career with the Arkansas Twisters where he originally played defensive line. Injuries forced him to convert to offensive line, as he started every game the remainder of the season.
McCown, (6-0, 190) returns to the Barnstormers after an impressive 2009 campaign. The four-year
Arena Football veteran known best to Barnstormer fans as "E-Speed" led Iowa with 107 receptions for 1,404 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also chipped in with 7 rushing touchdowns. Three times during the 2009 season McCown was named offensive player of the game and at the end of the season, his teammates voted him Offensive MVP. The Oklahoma State product also began his pro career with the Arkansas Twisters in 2007.
Both players will report to the Barnstormers training camp this March to compete for a spot with the club. The 2010 Arena Football One season kicks off this spring, with the scheudle to be announced in the very near future.
