Barnstormers to Introduce All-Star Dance Team

There will be more excitement, more fun and more spirit at Barnstormers' games in 2016 with the introduction of the brand new Lancaster Barnstormers ALL STAR DANCE TEAM. The "All Stars" will perform before every Saturday Night Barnstormers game at Clipper Magazine Stadium, as well as during one in-between inning break during the game. The "All Stars" will greet fans and serve as community relations ambassadors along with the Barnstormers beloved mascot, Cylo. The "All Stars' will lead a Saturday Afternoon Dance and Cheerleading Clinic for dance groups, cheerleaders or anyone who just wants to perform at Clipper Magazine Stadium before Saturday home games.

Julia Powers has been named the Director of the Barnstormers' All Star Dance Team. Miss Powers has an extensive background in cheerleading and dance. Powers was a staff member for the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders. She had performed during NBA games and has choreographed and directed dance teams in the NFL, ABA and MLL.

"The Barnstormers are thrilled to bring a professional with Julia's experience to our organization," said Bob Zuckerman, of the Barnstormers' ownership group. "Julia is committed to giving the cheerleaders and dancers of Lancaster County a unique opportunity to perform at Clipper Magazine Stadium."

The auditions to make the Barnstormers' All Star Dance Team will be held on Saturday, February 20th in the LFA Suite of Clipper Magazine Stadium. The auditions are closed to the public. To register for the auditions, contact Director Julia Powers at julialpowers@gmail.com

All dancers and cheerleaders, who are at least 18 years of age, are welcome to audition.

Potential "All Stars" should:

- Please come dressed in athletic wear and Dance Shoes/Sneakers

- Please bring Photo ID and a non-returnable photo with you to tryout
