Barnstormers Swap Players with Orlando

DES MOINES, IA - Even with training camp underway, Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee continues to make adjustments to his team's roster announcing today that the Barnstormers have acquired Defensive Back Erick McIntosh from the Orlando Predators, in exchange for Offensive Lineman Gershom Jordon.
McIntosh (5-11, 175) joins the Barnstormers after spending the 2010-12 seasons in the AFL with the Tampa Bay Storm. During the off-season the free agent was assigned to Orlando on a two-year contract. In his three years with the Storm, McIntosh compiled 243 tackles, 8 interceptions and 43 pass break-ups. The Fort Myers, FL native played four years of college ball from 2006-09 at Florida Atlantic University.
"Errick is a guy that we targeted in the offseason, and I'm glad that we were able to acquire him", stated Hohensee. "I believe that Gershom Jordon is going to be a great player in these league, but we have a lot of depth at that position and were able to move him to fill a need." The Barnstormers training camp continues through Saturday, when the team has to cut down to their final roster of 24 players.
