Orlando Predators News Release
Orlando - Yesterday afternoon, the Orlando Predators traded defensive back Erick McIntosh to Iowa for offensive lineman Gershom Jordon.
Jordon, born January 23, 1988 (6'6", 310lbs) is a Rookie in the AFL. Prior to joining the league, Jordon attended Tennessee State where he earned Second-Team All-Conference honors his senior year.
"Erick really did not have a bad camp," said head coach Doug Plank. "There is so much talent at his position right now, and camp is challenging for any coach, because we have to reduce our roster. McIntosh is a player who is capable of playing anywhere and at this time, we have a need at offensive line. Gershom Jordon will be a good edition to that group."
Orlando's Arena Football franchise since 1991, the Orlando Predators are heading into their 22nd year in the AFL. In that time, the Predators have advanced to the AFL playoffs a league leading 19 times and advanced to the ArenaBowl seven times winning the championship in 1998 and 2000.
