Barnstormers Sign Veteran Offensive Lineman
DES MOINES "" The Iowa Barnstormers have signed offensive lineman AJ Harmon to the 2021 roster, Head Coach Ameer Ismail announced today.
Harmon (6-5, 340, Cumberland University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season with the team. A veteran of the indoor game, Harmon has spent time with the Cedar Rapids Titans (IFL, 2015-16), Jacksonville Sharks (NAL, 2017), Atlanta Havoc (NAL, 2018), and the Columbus Lions (NAL, 2019). During his time with the indoor game Harmon has racked up honors including Second Team All-IFL in 2016 and First Team All-NAL in 2017. Harmon also earned a Championship Title with the Jacksonville Sharks in 2017.
Collegiately, Harmon began his career at the University of Georgia for two years before moving on to Alabama State for one year. Harmon ultimately landed at Cumberland University for his final season where he started in all 22 games and was named Second Team AFCA-NAIA.
No stranger to competition, Harmon also earned invitations to Training Camp with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks following his collegiate career.
Harmon will join the Iowa Barnstormers Training Camp in the Spring.
