Barnstormers Sign Offensive Lineman

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed offensive lineman Richard Gaskins to the 2024 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.
Gaskins (6'6, 315, Central State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Gaskins spent three years at Central State University in Ohio where he appeared in 18 games on both the offensive and defensive line.
"We are really excited to get Richard," said Head Coach Mogensen. "He is a physical specimen who originally played scholarship basketball before transitioning to football, which shows the high level of athleticism he has for a man of his size. He had a lot of NFL interest after his senior season and we expect him to be someone that can catapult himself back onto those radars with a successful stint here."
Gaskins will enter the Barnstormers 2024 Training Camp in the spring.
"God Aligns things in life at the right time, even when I'm unsure and that's what led me to Coach Moges and the Iowa Barnstormers," said Gaskins. "This is my opportunity to get my feet wet professionally"
