Barnstormers Sign Offensive Lineman

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed offensive lineman Nino Schmitt to the 2022 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.

Schmitt (6-0, 320, Missouri S&T) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League. Schmitt spent his collegiate career with Missouri University of Science and Technology. After redshirting his freshman year, Schmitt spent four years at Center for the Miners earning honorable mention All-GLVC honors during his junior and senior seasons.

"Nino is someone who has been on our radar since the off-season," said Coach Mogensen. "He just finished up a standout college career and fits into our love of athletic offensive lineman. His versatility as our 4th swing lineman will be a great benefit."

The Iowa Barnstormers will take on the Green Bay Blizzard on Friday, May 27 at Wells Fargo Arena in the team's Annual Military Night. Kickoff is set for 7:05PM.
