Barnstormers Sign Defensive Back

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive back Cam Clemons to the 2023 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.

Clemons (5-9, 187, Missouri S&T) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season with the team. Collegiately, Clemons began his career at Western Illinois University where he spent two seasons with the Leathernecks appearing in 13 games. Clemons then transferred to Missouri S&T where he spent two seasons and saw action on both sides of the ball. With the Miners, Clemons appeared in 22 games where he collected 18 receptions for two touchdowns on offense and on defense collected 58 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, and four interceptions including one pick six.

"Cam is a tremendous athlete that started his college career at receiver at the D1 level before moving to D2 and making the transition to defensive back," said Head Coach Mogensen. "He earned numerous accolades as a DB showing some elite ball skills and a knack for making big plays. He was also a consistent threat as a returner in college. We feel his traits and skills will translate very well to the indoor game."

Clemons will enter the Barnstormers 2023 Training Camp in the Spring.
