Barnstormers' Raterink and Thomas Earn Weekly Awards

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Barnstormers are proud to announce that two members of their offense have won awards following a 73-68 victory over the San Jose Saber Cats last Saturday night. QB J.J. Raterink has been named the Russell Athletic offensive player of the week, while WR Marco Thomas has won the J. Lewis Small playmaker of the week award.

Raterink (6-2, 210, Wyoming) passed for 376 yards and tied a career-high with nine touchdowns in Iowa's 73-68 victory over the San Jose Saber Cats in Week 13. The fourth-year pro finished the night with a 130.3 passer rating, marking his fourth consecutive contest with a triple-digit passer rating.

Thomas (6-0, 190, Western Illinois) set new career-highs with 15 receptions and five receiving touchdowns in Iowa's 73-68 victory over San Jose in Week 13. The fourth-year receiver finished with 165 receiving yards, marking his third consecutive game with triple-digit yardage. Thomas also added a rushing score in the game. He will receive a timepiece crafted by J. Lewis Small for his efforts.

The Arena Football League is also awarding the AFL MVP of the Week, where fans are given the opportunity to select the winner. Candidates include Iowa QB J.J. RATERINK, New Orleans QB KURT ROCCO and Utah QB JASON BOLTUS. Fans will have 24 hours to vote on ArenaFootball.com beginning at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 19. The winner will be announced on Thursday, June 20.
