Barnstormers Lose Brookins in Expansion Draft

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced today that Defensive Back and Kick Return Specialist has been assigned to the LA Kiss in the 2013 Expansion Draft.
Brookins (5'10", 180) was assigned to the Barnstormers after clearing waivers from the San Jose Sabre Cats. On Friday, at 2:00pm Central time, the Arena Football league held an expansion draft for the two expansion teams: The Los Angeles Kiss and the Portland Thunder. The Iowa Barnstormers were unable to protect Brookins and was subsequently assigned to the LA Kiss.
Brookins, the Sacramento City College Alum, is a veteran in the Arena Football League returning 85 kickoffs, 2 for touchdowns, and 1,565 total kick return yards.
