San Jose SaberCats News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats announced today that they have been assigned three new players: wide receiver Dominque Curry, offensive lineman Ray Feinga and quarterback Nathan Stanley.
"We are excited to add players of this caliber to our team during the offseason," said Owner and Head Coach Darren Arbet. "Curry adds another big body to our receiving corps and Feinga was one of the best linemen in the country during his time at BYU."
Curry (6-3, 230, California University of Pennsylvania) has spent the last four seasons in the National Football League. Before being on the practice squad for Carolina and Detroit, Curry was active for all 16 games of the 2011 season for the St. Louis Rams. In 2010, he appeared in two games for the Rams, and blocked a punt before a knee injury ended his season. Curry played his final collegiate season with California University of Pennsylvania after spending three seasons at Cheyney University. At Cheyney, Curry earned All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East selections three times as well as PSAC Rookie of the Year in 2006.
Feinga (6-5, 320, BYU) has spent parts of the last four seasons with Miami Dolphins. Feinga played four years at BYU, starting 25 of 26 games as a junior and senior. He was named All-Midwest Conference First team twice, and did not allow a sack during the entire 2007 season.
Stanley (6-5, 215, Southeastern Louisiana) previously was with the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Stanley spent his final two collegiate seasons as a member of the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, where he threw for 2,334 yards with 11 touchdowns. Before that, he spent two seasons at Ole Miss, where he saw action in nine games over the course of two seasons. For his Rebel career, Stanley completed 28-of-55 passes for 424 yards.
