Iowa Barnstormers News Release
DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers continued to add to their 2012 roster as Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced today that the team has agreed to terms with rookie Defensive Back De'Mon Glanton.
Glanton (6-1, 205) was a four year standout for Mississippi State from 2005-2008. He appeared in 48 career games for the Bulldogs, making 28 starts. Known for making big plays the hard-hitting safety racked up 134 career tackles and 5 interceptions, while defending 23 passes. Glanton is also known for his speed as he has been clocked as low as 4.35 in the 40 yard dash. The Atlanta, GA native was recruited out of Mays High School where he played both wide receiver and defensive back in addition to being an honor roll student.
Glanton will be among a group of 35 players that report to the Barnstormers training camp this February to compete for a spot with the club. Don't forget that 2012 Iowa Barnstormers season tickets remain on sale for as low as $117.00 per seat. Call 515-633-2255 or visit www.theiowabarnstormers.com for more information.
