DES MOINES - The locally-owned Iowa Barnstormers Arena Football Club in conjunction with Mediacom Connections are proud to announce that all 2009 Barnstormer home playoff games will be shown live, state-wide on Mediacom Connections Channel 22. The first game will air live this Friday, July 31 when the Barnstormers open the 2009 post-season hosting the Manchester Wolves. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:05p.m. The agreement is an extension of an existing deal, which saw all eight Barnstormers regular season contests televised live on Mediacom. The Mediacom Connections Channel has been the exclusive television home of the Barnstormers since the team's re-birth in 2008.

In regard to the agreement, Barnstormers General Manager John Pettit stated, "The Iowa Barnstormers have had a great relationship with Mediacom the past two seasons. The quality of the production is second to none and our fans truly enjoy the live broadcasts and numerous replays. In addition it gives us great exposure state-wide, making it a win-win for both parties."

"Barnstormer football is a signature TV product for our local channel, MC22," said Steve Purcell, Mediacom's regional vice president. "We are proud of our partnership with the team, but we are just as pleased that people are turning out in record numbers for the live contests after catching the excitement on TV. Our viewers are in for a treat as the playoffs feature the best of the best."

Should the Barnstormers defeat Manchester on Friday, they will host a second-round playoff game on Saturday August 8 at 7:05pm against either Tennessee Valley or Green Bay. This potential second round game would also be televised live by Mediacom. Tickets for Friday's opening round game can be purchased for as low as $14 at the Arena Box Office, by calling the Barnstormers front office at 515.633.2255 or by ordering online at www.theiowabarnstormers.com.
