DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers defensive back Derrick Morgan was named the Indoor Football League's Vidswap.com Defensive Player of the Week for Week 15, the League announced.
Morgan (6'0, 210, Stony Brook University) earned IFL Defensive Player of the Week Honors after a dominating performance against the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 15. The Indoor Football League awarded quarterback Matt Behrendt of the Green Bay Blizzard with Offensive Player of the Week while kick returner Rob Brown of the Tri-Cities Fever earned Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Barnstormers will host the Cedar Rapids Titans at Wells Fargo Arena this Saturday, June 4 at 7:05 p.m. in the second of three Iowa Bowl showdowns. Tickets to the game are available by calling the Iowa Barnstormers front office 515-633-2255 or visiting the Wells Fargo Arena Box Office.
