Barnstormers Dance Team Tryouts set for February 9

DES MOINES -- As Iowa continues to prepare for the return of arena football this spring to downtown Des Moines, the Iowa Barnstormers today announced open tryouts will be held Saturday, February 9 for the 2008 Iowa Barnstormers Dance and Cheerleading Team.
"The Barnstormers Dance Team is not only an integral part of the game day experience for our fans and players, but also serves as the team's ambassadors throughout central Iowa," said Barnstormers General Manager John Pettit.
What: 2008 Iowa Barnstormers Dance Team Tryouts
Who: Open to any women 18 years of age or older by February 9 who provides a
valid form of ID and proof of health insurance.
When: Saturday, February 9, 2008
10:00 a.m. registration
11:00 a.m. tryouts begin
Where: Vieux Carre Nightclub
1720 25th Street (between University & Westown Parkway)
West Des Moines
Cost: $25 registration fee is payable the day of the tryouts.
All participants are also reminded to wear dance attire, comfortable shoes, and will be asked to provide proof of health insurance and a recent headshot photo along with their application.
All attendees are strongly encouraged to visit the Iowa Barnstormers at www.theiowabarnstormers.com to print and fill-out as much of the tryout application as possible to expedite registration. Any questions can be directed to the Barnstormers front office at 515-633-2255.
