Barnstormers Announce 2024 Open Tryouts

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers of the Indoor Football League (IFL) will host their annual open tryout on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The tryout is open to any athlete 18 years of age and older who is non-college eligible and interested in playing professional indoor football.
The Iowa Barnstormers Open Tryout, consisting of combine workouts, skill drills, one-on-one, and five-on-five competitions will be held under the direction of Head Coach Dave Mogensen. Tryout positions include quarterback, wide receiver, defensive back, running back, linebacker, offensive lineman, defensive lineman, and kickers.
Check in and registration will open on October 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the North VIP entrance of Wells Fargo Arena with the tryouts beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. on the Barnstormers field. All tryout participants will be required to submit a registration payment and sign a waiver and release form.
Pre-registration will cost $50 with day-of registration fees increasing to $60 per participant. Pre-registration is now open and will close on Friday, October 6. Day-of registration will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21. In order to receive pre-registration pricing, payment must be made at the time of registering.

Coach Mogensen guarantees that at least one athlete will be signed to the 2024 Training Camp Roster from the Open Tryout.
The Iowa Barnstormers Open Tryout will be open to the public for interested spectators. Spectators can enter through the North VIP entrance of Wells Fargo Arena following athlete registration at 11:00 a.m.
