DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive back Kamau Dumas to the 2022 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.

Dumas (5-9, 185, Monmouth University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Dumas spent four years at Monmouth University beginning his career as a true freshman. During his time with the Hawks, Dumas appeared in 45 games collecting 103 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Following his collegiate career, Dumas earned an invitation to the New York Giants minicamp in 2018. Dumas also got a taste of the indoor game when he joined the Cedar Rapids River Kings for two games at the end of the 2019 season.

"We are excited to bring Kam's talents to our defensive back field," said Head Coach Mogensen. "He is an explosive athlete who had an opportunity at the games highest level and got a small taste of the IFL in 2019. He is someone that can contribute at multiple positions for us this spring.

Dumas will enter the Iowa Barnstormers 2022 Training Camp in the spring.
