
Barnstormers Add More Depth at Defensive Back

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations John Gregory announced today that the Arena Football League team has agreed to terms with free agent Defensive Back Antomius Wise. Wise will report to the Barnstormers 2011 training camp on February 20.
Wise (6-3, 210) will bring both size and experience to the Barnstormers secondary. He has Arena Football experience, most notably as a member of the 2006 af2 champion Spokane Shock. Wise has also spent time with the San Angelo Stampede of the IFL. He has been invited to NFL minicamps twice with the New Orleans Saints (2005) and Washington Redskins (2006).
Prior to his professional experience, Wise spent time at four different schools over a four year period. As a senior in 2004 with Lambuth University he had 27 tackles and led the team in pass break-ups with seven. Wise was also a standout at Mt. Zion High school in Jonesboro, GA where as a senior he led his team to the state championship game.
With the addition of Czech, the Barnstormers now have 33 players under contract for the 2011 season.
